A recent, difficult rescue of an injured spelunker made controlling access to this privately-owned cave a high priority. Because the entrance was so narrow, we had to box it out with a semi-cupola to provide more flight space for the bats roosting inside. All work was completed in a single long day, finishing in the dark. All photos © Jim Kennedy.

The odd shape of the outcrop made the design tricky, but we solved the problem admirably.
It;s starting to really shape up!
