The cave consists of a single 6m pit into a couple of small rooms with no bats or endangered invertebrates. But the area around it was undergoing commercial development, and the owners wanted to protect it. Since we agree that all caves have value and should be protected, we did. All photos © Jim Kennedy.

The rock and grate served to keep people and livestock out back when this was all ranchland.
